Why You Should Always Check the Activity Board at Resorts and Cruise Lines

Foam pool party at a Dominican Republic resort with guests dancing in foam, music playing, and a man falling off an inflatable unicorn while holding a drink

You don’t need a better resort… you just need to know what’s happening at the one you’re at 👀

Quick travel tip that most travelers skip: check the activity board every single day.

On one of our Dominican Republic trips, that one small habit turned into one of our favorite memories. We glanced at the board that morning and saw “foam pool party”… and thought why not?

We walked out to music going, foam everywhere, people dancing, drinks in hand… instant vacation mode.

Josh spotted a giant inflatable unicorn, climbed on like he had something to prove… and immediately fell off 😂

The drink? Still in his hand. Priorities 🦄🍹

If we hadn’t checked that board, we would’ve missed it completely.

Here’s what most people don’t realize when they book an all-inclusive resort or cruise… there is SO much happening every single day that doesn’t get announced ahead of time.

We’re talking:
morning beach workouts
yoga and fitness classes
dance lessons
crafts and painting classes
trivia and games
meet and greets with staff or entertainers
live music
themed nights
pop-up pool parties

Some of the best moments on vacation aren’t on your itinerary… they’re the ones you accidentally walk into.

So if you’re investing in a resort or cruise, don’t just sit by the pool and miss half of what you already paid for.

Check the board. Every. Day.

And if you want help finding resorts and cruises that actually have these kinds of fun, built-in experiences… I’ve got you.

Have you ever stumbled into something unexpected on vacation like that?
