I just booked my very first Alaska cruise tour with Holland America Line for a couple celebrating their 10-year anniversary, and I’m not gonna lie…I wish I was going too. Alaska has officially entered the chat, and it did not disappoint.
So what’s the difference between an Alaska cruise and an Alaska cruise tour? Let’s break it down in a quick, fun, no-overwhelm way.
An Alaska cruise is all about sailing. You unpack once, wake up to jaw-dropping views, glide past glaciers, and dock in coastal towns like Juneau, Skagway, and Ketchikan. Think scenic cruising days, wildlife spotting from the ship, and cozy nights onboard with great food and enrichment programs.
An Alaska cruise tour is the best of both worlds—sea and land. You still get the cruise portion, but then you add inland Alaska by train or motorcoach.
